This book features a great collection of traditional Christmas songs that you can play without reading music! It includes easy tunes such as "Jolly Old St. Nicholas", "Joy to the World", and "Away in a Manger" as well as more difficult tunes such as "Winter Wonderland", "White Christmas", and "What Child Is This?". It is written in a tablature format and builds on the skills learned in "Old-Time Fiddling Book One" and "Old-Time Fiddling Book Two". The 74-page book features tablature and standard music notation for each tune as well as accompaniment chords. It also has tips on how to care for the fiddle, how to tune the fiddle, and photo-illustrated playing technique. The included 43-track CD features all of the tunes in the book and is split-track so the fiddle part is separate from the piano accompaniment. Each track also features a hi-hat lead-in. Fiddle tuning tracks are included to help you tune your instrument. This book includes 39 standard first position Christmas songs. It is suitable for all ages.
